Tyrese on Paul Walker's Death: God Emailed Me About How to Heal

In need of a way to lift himself out of sadness after Paul Walker died in a car crash on Nov. 30, Walker's Fast and Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson said god sent him an email.
That email's subject line: "Go to Dubai" with friends to heal.

Tyrese discussed his healing process in a candid interview on The Arsenio Hall Show. The singer-turned-actor also talked about the future of Fast and Furious 7, which will arrive in theaters April 10, 2015.

Tyrese also turned to Facebook to share the Arsenio clip — his first sit-down interview since Walker's death. "Spread love cause it will always come back," he wrote on Facebook:

Tech: Wikipedia Looked Pretty Much the Same 13 Years Ago

Wikipedia, everyone's favorite community-edited encyclopedia, turned 13 years old today. The website has now entered that infamous stage of adolescence where it thinks it knows everything about everything. In this case, though, it actually might.

The company launched on Jan. 15, 2001, now known to some as Wikipedia Day. The site revolutionized both the way college students write papers and how you can decipher that weird skin thing you found on your arm.

Wikipedia was created by duo Jimmy Wales, whose face used to stare at you from the main page until you donated, and Larry Sanger, who devised the name Wikipedia, a portmanteau of the Hawaiian word for "quick" and encyclopedia.
With an estimated 365 million users, Wikipedia has grown into one of the most-visited websites in the world.

Users read over 30 million articles in 287 languages
Users read over 30 million articles in 287 languages, covering everything from the list of nicknames used by former President George W. Bush to the etymology of the word jukebox. With a body of information like that, it's no surprise visitors often get trapped in Wikipedia's web of links, spending hours clicking from article to article, wondering where all the time went.

wikipedia 2013
Despite its success, Wikipedia enters its awkward teen years looking not too different from when it started. Though obviously more minimalistic, the site maintains the same aesthetic as an old encyclopedia you'd borrow from a library. (Remember libraries?)

Tech: Yahoo COO Leaves Company After 15 Months

Yahoo's chief operating officer is leaving after just more than a year on the job, the company revealed in an SEC filing Wednesday afternoon.
Henrique de Castro joined Yahoo in October 2012 after previously working as a top exec at Google. De Castro was CEO Marissa Mayer's biggest early hire and a notable poach from her former employer.
De Castro was considered important enough to Yahoo that he actuallyreceived more compensation than Mayer in his first year. Yahoo paid de Castro $39 million in 2012 compared to $36.6 million for Mayer.
Rumors circulated for months that de Castro might be pushed out from Yahoo. He was reportedly under pressure to improve Yahoo's advertising prospects and found himself clashing with Mayer.
A rep for Yahoo declined to comment beyond the information in the filing.
De Castro's last day at the company will be January 16.
UPDATE, Jan. 15, 7:20 p.m. ET: According to an internal Yahoo memoobtained by Re/code, Marissa Mayer made clear that she fired de Castro. The memo read: "During my own reflection, I made the difficult decision that our COO, Henrique de Castro, should leave the company. I appreciate Henrique’s contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavors."

PDP meeting without Tukur

The drama surrounding the fate of the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Bamanga Tukur has come to an end. Saharareporters can confirm that the embattled party chief has not only resigned but is being prevented from attending the National Working Committee meeting of the party currently going on inside the Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja.
Our source at the meeting said that the announcement of Tukur's resignation will be made tomorrow after the meeting of the Executive Council meeting.
Only two days ago, Mr. Tukur was daring President Goodluck Jonathan to sack him if he could. He claimed that he was elected by a constituted convention of the party, and only another convention could sack him.
The ruling party under Mr. Tukur has been going through internal strife that led to a massive decamping of party members to the opposition All Progressive Congress, APC.

TB Joshua Speaks Out On Same Sex Marriage Ban

A highly-discussed bill against same sex marriages, which has recently been made law by President Goodluck Jonathan, caused reaction from Prophet T.B. Joshua. Speaking on the issue through a new initiative on his ministries official Facebook page, in which the cleric responds to people’s questions in an interactive session, he said: “Judge not, so that you will not be judged,” Joshua began, citing Matthew 7:1 for Scriptural backing. “We should talk to people to be saved and not to die. I mean, we should talk salvation, not condemnation. The Bible is my standard,” he continued in the post to almost 900,000 fans. The cleric proceeded: “If my parents were one, I would not have been given birth to,” he proceeded poignantly. “Those that are asking this question – if your parents were one, you would not have been given birth to. You that are reading me – if your parents were one, you would not be reading this today. God bless the reader and the  hearer,
